So, we’ve got a long weekend coming up! Deloitte, the reason i have pinstripe pants, is giving us Friday off as well as monday for labomorial day. There’s two times a year when you get a monday off (unless of course you’re “phoning it in” that day). Those days are Labor Day and Memorial Day…and on the elevator this morning i realized that 46% of the people in my elevator didn’t know which one was this monday. So, I’m offically renaming in labomorial for the holiday challenged.
I don’t mean to make too much fun of the actual holidays. Memorial Day is clearly a very important day for our nation. Completely support our troops and honor them for all they fight for.
I’m not exactly sure about the history of labor day, but after a few google searches, i will post a complete history.
In other holiday news, Thanksgiving will be on a thursday this year.
